The Verlo Mattress Winter Comedy Series wraps up with two funny men from our neighbor to the north...Minnesota! Mark Poolos has drawn comparisons to Louie Anderson as he has built a strong comedy following through shows in nearly every US state plus much of Canada. At 6’7” and 350 pounds, Poolos’ commanding stage presence belies a self-described “wimpiness” that contributes to his hilarious stories about life as a bumbling jolly giant. Poolos has appeared on TV’s ‘The Carbonaro Effect’ and ‘Gotham Comedy Live’ has made numerous radio appearances, including on “The Bob and Tom Show.”
After a successful career as a radio host and voiceover talent, John Russell stepped into the world of standup comedy more than a decade ago. Since then, he’s opened for such industry heavyweights as Gilbert Gottfried, Pauly Shore, and TV’s Impractical Jokers.
