Come celebrate the first day of Spring with the DSO’s performance of Copland’s well-loved Appalachian Spring in its original version for 13 instruments. Gorgeous music for strings by Elgar, Albinoni, Corelli, and George Walker will set the mood for the Copland.
DSO Concertmaster Eleanor Bartsch, Associate Concertmaster Peter Miliczky, and Acting Principal Cello Jon Hodges are featured in a the beautiful concerto by Corelli. Albinoni’s gentle Adagio is familiar from its frequent use in film scores.
